Churchill Square shopping centre is the only covered shopping mall in Brighton with a total of 85 stores and cafés and is anchored by Bhs and Debenhams.

The centre was redeveloped by Standard Life Investments at a cost of £90m in October 1998 and is situated in the heart of Brighton less than a ten minute walk from Brighton mainline station; it is well served by the local bus companies with many buses stopping directly outside the centre.  The redeveloped centre has been successful since it opened in 1998 and has exceeded footfall expectations, from 6mn to 13mn annually. The centre is 500,000 sq ft and has on site parking for over 1500 cars.
