Dorothy Perkins is going from strength to strength on the Brighton trend-o-meter. They've nailed some top looks for autumn 2009.

We love their black leather jacket, with prominent shoulders (a big catwalk shape this season). Or opt for a 1980s' style boyfriend blazer for an effortlessly cool vibe. Wear either jacket with skinny jeans, or inject some sparkle into daywear with a pair of shiny animal print leggings.

But our current Dorothy Perkins favourite has to be the colour block mini dress in grey, black and blue. Part of the ‘Manhattan' fashion story, this versatile piece will work well with opaque tights in the office. Then, make one quick change into some black or grey lace leggings, and you've got a great texture combination for after work drinks.
