Refurbishment of Churchill Two Car ParkChurchill Two Car Park adjacent to the Churchill Square Shopping Centre in Brighton is currently undergoing refurbishment works. The works involve:

Q and A’sQ – How long will the works last?A – The works will take approximately six months to complete and will be completed prior to the main shopping period in the run up to Christmas. Q – Will the car park remain open? A – The car park will remain open throughout the works, however it might be necessary to close the car park for entry after a certain time in the afternoon during some of the more difficult stages of the works, namely in the vicinity of the internal ramps. During this time shoppers who have already parked in the car park will be able to leave at any time. At this time Churchill One will still be accessible 24 hours a day. Q – Do the works affect Churchill One Car Park? A – Not at all. All the works are taking place in Churchill Two Car Park. Q – If the works overrun, what then? A – In the unlikely event the works are not completed by mid-November then they will be postponed at that point until after Christmas and begin again in January 2011. Q – Do the works affect the shopping centre? A – No. There should be no impact or inconvenience to the shoppers and retailers in the shopping centre. Q – How many parking spaces will be available? A – The car park has approximately 800 spaces and at no time will more than 80 spaces be made unavailable due to the works. A – Due to the risks of the works overrunning caused by bad weather through the winter months this is the best time to complete this refurbishment in a shorter time as possible.
